All-on-4 dental implants explained
Özel Dent Club Ağız ve Diş Sağlığı Polikliniği ·

All-on-4 replaces a full arch of teeth with a fixed bridge supported by four implants (All-on-6 uses six). A fixed temporary bridge is usually fitted within a few days, and the final bridge is made after the implants have healed, typically 3–6 months later.
Who is it for?
- People who have lost most or all teeth in one jaw
- Patients with failing teeth who want fixed teeth instead of dentures
- Denture wearers who want a stable, non-removable solution
How it works
- 3D scan and digital planning of implant positions
- Removal of failing teeth if needed, and implant placement under anaesthesia
- A fixed temporary bridge, usually within a few days
- Healing period of about 3–6 months
- Final bridge in zirconia or another durable material
All-on-4 or All-on-6?
More implants spread the chewing load and can give extra security where bone quality allows. The choice depends on your bone volume, bite and jaw size, which we assess from a CT scan.
Frequently asked questions
Can I eat normally with the temporary bridge?
You will be advised to eat soft foods during healing so the implants are not overloaded. After the final bridge, most patients eat normally.
Is All-on-4 removable?
No. The bridge is fixed to the implants and can only be removed by your dentist for maintenance.
